Though extremely out of date, this is still a valuable resource, especially for beginning paper modelers. http://www.icebergbouwplaten.nl/ Iceberg Paper models is a commercial site, but has a very good links area which is categorized and updated frequently. Many SF models listed. http://www.ss42.com/toys.html Space Station 42 is another extensive, categorized list of links to paper models of all kinds. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html You will need Adobe Reader (free software) to open many of these model files. Furthermore, you may have to download and install one or more Asian font packs (such as Japanese), or some files will not open. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ Foxit Reader is an alternative, also free, to Adobe’s bloated Reader. http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/ Free Pepakura Designer file viewer for .PDO files, the only thing in the world that will open them. The "Gallery" at the site contains hundreds of free models created with the Pepakura Designer software, and the one on the Japanese side contains hundreds more. Well worth the time to look around. Notes:You should always download model files to your hard drive or other storage device and open them when you are off-line. Printing directly from your Web browser may result in cropped pictures (only what appears in your browser window will be printed).Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) files open with Acrobat Reader, and .PDO files open with Pepakura Viewer, but .GIFs and .JPEGs need to be opened in a graphics or photo editing program. Regular copier/inkjet paper is only 20-24 lbs., but 90 lb. (165 grams per square meter) cardstock is perfect for most models. Wausau Exact Index 90 lb or 110 lb can be found at many office supply stores or Kelly Paper stores. Many computer printer inks are not water-resistant. Seal the color with a clear lacquer or acrylic spray before assembly, or you are likely to have stained fingers and faded areas on your model. While it's possible to use scissors, an X-Acto knife with a sharp #11 blade is perfect for most cutting tasks. Cutting mats and steel straightedges can also be found at most craft stores. Ordinary white PVA glue such as Elmer's Glue-All can be used for most paper models, though many modelers swear by UHU Alleskleber, which is a German brand of paper glue. Aleene's Tacky Glue is a thicker white PVA glue found in many craft stores. Any of these will work fine, though UHU is more expensive and not safe for young children.
